Watch Roadside Romeo Hindi Animation Movie 2008

Roadside Romeo Movie Review

The good news - Roadside Romeo is visually stunning for an Indian animation movie.

The bad news - the screenplay is too weak to keep older blokes glued to their seats.
But hey, Roadside Romeo is made for kids, so lets not have the comparison. The plot resembles a recently released Hollywood film, Beverly Hills Chihuahua, where a rich dawg with all the comforts and food gets suddenly lost in the big bad world.

But lets talk more about the animation, agreed that Roadside Romeo looks nowhere as good as Pixar films like Finding Nemo, Ratatouille or the recently released Wall E. But since Romeo has Disney's money, since I am greedy and since I love animated films, I wanted to watch some spectacular animation.

That's not to say that it was bad, in fact the main characers had a lot of detail including the fur and the eyes. The backgrounds were well lit and the entire milieu brought out the nod really well. The characters' mouths may flap up and down a lot but their expressive eyes make up for that.

The storyline is exactly what you'd expect from a Yash Raj banner. The predictable love story, the DDLJ spoof and other nudges towards earlier Yash Raj films. Director Jugal Hansraj makes a nice debut behind the camera, but he could've used a better script to pull in older audience.

The voices are provided by the absolute A list of Bollywood. Saif Ali Khan is great as the protagonist. It is obvious that Saif's voice is his weakest link as an actor but he really pulls of a convincing character. Kareena Kapoor is sadly not recognizable and she was more or less roped in because Saif was the hero.

Jaaved Jaffery is outstanding as usual as the villainous Charlie Anna. His Shatrughan Sinha mimic is downright hilarious. Sanjay Mishra as the sidekick Chainu is brilliant. Full marks to him.

Roadside Romeo is a total Bollywood masala flick and kids might just love it. But the issue is that is it really necessary for an Indian animated film to hint towards older Bollywood movies and actors for entertainment? I am still waiting for a movie like Ratatouille, with no recognizable cast, but with a splendid screenplay and animation.

Sarah Palin spent $52,000 on Make-Up

Sarah Palin spent $52,000 on make-up

After Sarah Palin came under scrutiny for her wardrobe expenses, new details have emerged, which show that US Republican presidential candidate John McCain's campaign paid 3 makeup artists a total of $52,000 over 6 weeks.

According to records filed with the Federal Election Commission, the McCain campaign paid Amy Strozzi, Palin’s travelling makeup artist, $22,800 for the first two weeks of October. Strozzi received $13,200 for her work in September.

Records have revealed that McCain's makeup artist, Tifanie White, received $8,512 in September and $7,368 during the first two weeks of October.

The Republican National Committee paid a third makeup artist, Tracy Thorp, $980 for work in September.

The total makeup expense for a six-week period beginning September 1 comes down to $52,000.

A spokesman for McCain-Palin, Ben Porritt, refused to discuss the makeup expenses. "Our campaign is focused on talking about the issues," the New York Daily News quoted him, as saying.

The payments to Strozzi make her the highest paid person in the McCain-Palin presidential campaign during the first half of October.

Earlier this week, records showed the Republican National Committee spent $1,50,000 -including more than $75,000 at Neiman Marcus and nearly $50,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue - to outfit Palin in designer duds

Democrat Barack Obama lead drops to 5 points

Barack Obama lead drops to 5 points

WASHINGTON - Democrat Barack Obama's lead over Republican rival John McCain has dropped to 5 points, according to a Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby poll released on Sunday.

Obama leads McCain by 49 percent to 44 percent among likely U.S. voters in the daily tracking poll, which has a margin of error of 2.9 points. Obama's lead has dropped over the last three days after hitting a high of 12 points on Thursday.

"Things are trending back for McCain. His numbers are rising and Obama's are dropping on a daily basis. There seems to be a direct correlation between this and McCain talking about the economy," pollster John Zogby said.

Obama, 47, took the lead in most national polls in recent weeks as the financial crisis and plunging stock market seized center stage ahead of the November 4 election.

McCain, 72, appeared slow to respond to Obama's financial message but in recent days has ramped up the economic themes of his own campaign. On Saturday the Arizona Republican warned voters of the dangers of what he termed a Democratic take-over in both the White House and Congress.

Obama has countered by seeking to link McCain's proposals to the policies of outgoing Republican President George W. Bush, who fares very poorly in public approval surveys.

Obama's lead among voters making less than $35,000 per year remains substantial at a little over 70 percent. But McCain, who had previously scored well only with the highest income brackets, now holds slight leads among voters in all income groups starting at $35,000 and above.

"You've got to think that it is tax-and-spend that concerns them. Is McCain starting to connect with the middle class?" Zogby said.

Obama still had solid, if slightly diminished, leads among two important groups which could play pivotal roles in the November 4 election. Among independents he had a 14 point lead, down from a peak of 29 points. Women also still backed Obama by a 14-point margin, down from 20 points late last week.

McCain, who once had a 4-point deficit among male voters, now has a 4-point lead at 48-44 percent. And whites back McCain by a 12-point margin, up from 6 points on Friday.

Independent Ralph Nader and Libertarian Bob Barr both received support from 1 percent of those polled, a slight dip for Nader. Three percent of the people said they remained undecided in the race.

The rolling tracking poll surveyed 1,203 likely voters in the presidential election. In a tracking poll, the most recent day's results are added, while the oldest day's results are dropped to monitor changing momentum.

The president is determined by who wins the Electoral College, which has 538 members apportioned by population in each state and the District of Columbia. Electoral votes are allotted on a winner-take-all basis in all but two states, which divide them by congressional district.

Pandhayam Movie Review

Nithin Sathya, after hogging the limelight with movies like 'Chennai 600028' and 'Saththam Podathae', takes the centre stage to play a single hero in the movie.

He has enough opportunities to evoke humor, flex his muscles and emote.

Chandrasekharan has used all his experience to make the predictable story a racy stuff.

Sindhu Thulani is back after a brief interval. She plays a typical Tamil heroine, who is bubbly in romantic song sequences. She looks fresh on the screen and her onscreen chemistry with Nithin Sathya is good.

The movie is about Sathya (Nithin Sathya), a college student and an ardent fan of actor Vijay. Sathya comes across Sindhu (Sindhu Thulani), sister of an influential Minister Masanam (Prakashraj). Impressed by Masanam's sister, Sathya decides to romance her. However his friends warn him off incurring the wrath of Masanam.

Sathya wins the confidence of Masanam by enacting a play and becomes his trusted aide.

Once this is done, Sathya hides his identity and challenges Masanam over the phone that he would marry his sister within 16 days. A game begins between Masanam and Sathya begins. Who wins the game eventually forms the climax..................

Top 10 Tips for a Successful Interview to Get a Better Job

The Top 10 Tips for a Successful Job Interview

Job interviews in many organizations are getting sophisticated these days. Psychological tests, role plays, and challenges to one's "quick intelligence" and street smarts are often part of the package. While it's impossible to anticipate everything you may encounter, here are ten tips that will help you negotiate the interview process successfully.

1. Prepare and over-prepare.

It is assumed that you don't go in with egg on your tie, spinach in your teeth, or without a thorough knowledge of the organization and position for which you are interviewing. Beyond that, there's an important principle that will enable you to be much more confident. It's called, "over-preparing." It goes like this: Plan your strategy--your answers to all the possible questions you may be asked or the challenges that may be thrown at you--and then practice, practice, practice. Role play and repeat your best responses until they are entirely natural, until they simply roll off your tongue with the apparent spontaneity that comes only with successive repetition.

2. Be particularly clear on what you know and what you want to achieve.

If your interview is resume-based (you've had to supply a resume either before or concurrently), have the facts of your stated objective, relevant experience, education, etc. thoroughly memorized and mentally supported. As to your job objective, be clear on what you want, as well as what you don't want. There's little room in the job market for the applicant who's willing to take anything; he or she will usually get nothing!

3. Make sure your responses match your claims.

If, for example, you've taken extra coursework to qualify for a particular position, license, or certification, tie it into your narrative, e.g., "When I took my coursework for my CPA, I learned that ..." Build on your resume, but don't refer directly to it (assuming the interviewer has it in his or her possession); make sure the connections are there, but do it subtly.

4. Be clear about your strengths.

You're almost certain to be hit with questions pertaining to your strengths and weaknesses. Know your strengths and emphasize those that relate specifically to the position for which you're being considered. If, for example, you're applying for a sales position, you might describe one of your strengths (if it's true) as follows: "I've made a study of personality types and I've learned to quickly type people in terms of the kinds of approaches that might best attract them." Be prepared, in this case, to back up your claim if the interviewer suddenly asks: "What type would you say I am?"

5. Describe your weaknesses as strengths.

This is tricky, so let's think about why the question is asked. The interviewer probably wants to learn several things about you with this question, such as: whether or not you are arrogant ("I really don't think I have any weaknesses"), whether you know yourself ("Well, I've never really thought about that"), and finally, what you are doing to eliminate your weaknesses. Here are two ways to answer this question so that you leave a positive impression in the mind of the interviewer: (a) Show that, in overcoming a weakness, you've learned. If, for example, there's a period in your chronology that just doesn't fit (say that you took a job selling cars between jobs as an accountant ... it happens!), you might tell the interviewer: "One weakness, which it took me some time to overcome, wasthat I really wasn't sure that I wanted to be an accountant. For example, in 1988-90, I worked as a car salesman. I did so because I couldn't decide if I wanted to make accounting my career. That experience taught me that I really didn't want to sell products, and that I was much more challenged by the opportunity to solve client problems. (b) Pick a weakness that is really a strength. If, for example, you're interviewing for a job in an organization you know is hard-charging and unforgiving of average performance, you might say, "One of my weaknesses is that I tend to be impatient with people who aren't willing to pull their full weight and give 110%." In this case, your "weakness" may help you get the job.

6. If you've been fired, be forthright about it.

So many people have been laid off through no fault of their own in the past ten years that it's no longer a stigma to have been fired--unless it was for justifiable cause (e.g.,- you socked your boss). Answer directly, but without a "charge" in your voice. Expressing your bitterness over being let go tells the interviewer (rightly or wrongly) that you can't accept the realities of modern free enterprise -- that downsizing is acceptable and often necessary.

7. Be clear where you want to go.

A standard question which has all manner of variations is: "Where do you want to be five years from today?" Only today, the answers are different. Unless you plan to inherit Dad's company, your answer is apt to be a lot more general than it might have been a decade ago. Why? Because the economy and nearly every industry are changing so fast that specificity with respect to the distant future is extremely difficult. So, instead of responding to the question with, "I plan to be in a position of senior leadership in this company," you might want to say: "I plan to become qualified in every phase of this industry." The exact response depends upon the specifics of your job hunting campaign, but the principle is: be specific while allowing yourself the flexibility which suggests that you understand the complexities of the business you're applying for.

8. Have clear personal standards.

This is a sleeper because, on the face of it, the question doesn't seem to have much to do with the immediate interview. Today, however, many organizations are looking for people who DO have standards regarding their personal and professional lives, who can articulate them clearly and concisely, and who live by them. In this case, the briefer, the better. "I delegate my weaknesses." "I don't take on projects unless I can give them 100% dedication." "I respond in specifics and avoid meaningless generalities." "I am committed to life-long learning and growth."

9. Interview the interviewer.

The applicant who will take anything offered is unlikely to win any but the most temporary of positions. A competent interviewer (there are some) will respect your efforts to assess the organization and the position in terms of whether or not it meets YOUR requirements. And you owe it to yourself to have defined before hand, what you ideally want and what you are willing to settle for, under certain conditions. For example, you might really want a salary of $75,000 to begin with, but you'd be willing to take less if the opportunities for growth are clearly in the picture.

10. Don't allow yourself to be badgered by the salary issue.

Even today,it's still not uncommon to hear the old refrain: "Our policy is not to pay a new employee more than X% higher than he/she is currently making." Sorry, that doesn't fly. The real issue, and the only one at stake here, is whether or not your prospective employer is willing to pay WHAT YOU ARE WORTH. And, your worth is a function of the job itself and your capability and willingness to perform it. In most organizations, there are clear parameters for a given job, a range of salary that is adjustable depending upon the market and the applicant's experience. In most cases, unless you are very good, you will have to work within those limits. But, within the limits, what you are worth is a matter of mutual agreement based on your own knowledge of your worth and your ability to convince those interviewing you. So, to sum it up: Know the range of compensation for the job you're seeking, make your own realistic determination of what you're worth, and then be prepared to stand your ground.

Job Interview Tips

Preparation:

2.Have a specific job or jobs in mind.

Sachin Tendulkar Breaks Lara's Record Photo Gallery

Sachin Tendulkar Breaks Lara's Record

Sachin Tendulkar has proved to the world once again that he is the undisputed maestro of cricket - he broke Brian Lara's record of scoring the highest number of runs in Test matches.

Tendulkar overtook Lara's 11,953 mark and went on to become the first man to pass 12,000...this was his 151st Test.

In the second Test against Australia in Mohali Tendulkar, with Ganguly at his side steadied the Indian boat brought glory and fame as he flicked a Peter Siddle delivery and crossed the milestone. He took his helmet and raised his bat to acknowledge the applauding crowd.

"It's definitely the biggest milestone," he said, "because it's taken me 19 years to get - it's not something that can happen overnight.

"The journey has been fantastic. There have been ups and downs. So many times there have been stones thrown and you have to turn them into milestones.

"I knew I was 14 runs short [when Friday's innings started]. I have just been trying to focus on the game but whoever I see in front of me they have an opportunity to remind me.

"I decided to keep it simple and keep watching the ball."

Even better news - Tendulkar isn't really planning to retire soon.

"As long as I'm enjoying it I will play. I don't need X, Y or Z to tell me when I should stop or continue. When I started playing nobody told me that. So nobody need to tell me now either," he added

Ramchand Pakistani 2008 Hindi Movie Watch Online

Ramchand Pakistani Story Review

Ramchand Pakistani is derived from a true story concerning the accidental crossing of the Pakistan-Indian border during a period (June 2002) of extreme, war-like tension between the two countries by two members of a Pakistani Hindu family belonging to the 'untouchable' (Dalit) caste, and the extraordinary consequences of this unintended action upon the lives of a woman, a man, and their son.

The singular theme of the film is how a child from Pakistan aged eight years learns to cope with the trauma of forced separation from his mother while being held prisoner, along with his father in the jail of a country i.e. India, which is hostile to his own, while on the other side of the border, the wife-mother, devastated by their sudden disappearance builds a new chapter of her life, by her solitary struggle for sheer survival.

The film portrays the lives of a family that is at the bottom of a discriminatory religious ladder and an insensitive social system, which is nevertheless tolerant, inclusive and pluralist. The irony is compounded by the fact that such a family becomes hostage to the acrimonious political relationship between two neighbor-states poised on the brink of war.

The Woman-2008 Story Review

What happens when you combine a brilliant, all-female, all-star cast, headed by Meg Ryan and Annette Bening; celebrated comedy writer/director/producer Diane English (“Murphy Brown”); and a classic story about a circle of New York friends? The answer is THE WOMEN, a smart, sparkling comedy about contemporary womanhood and the power of female relationships.

Based on George Cukor’s 1939 film and Clare Boothe Luce’s 1936 stage play, THE WOMEN whisks us into a busy pocket of Manhattan society, where the publishing, fashion and finance industries play. At the center of the tale is Ryan’s character, Mary Haines, a thoroughly modern woman suddenly confronted with an age-old dilemma: a cheating husband.

The ladies in her life swiftly rally to Mary’s side, led by her best friend, Sylvie Fowler, a dynamic magazine editor played by Bening. But when Sylvie betrays Mary in a Faustian bargain, the entire group is shaken to the core – and two women face the most painful breakup of all - their friendship.

Like its predecessors, THE WOMEN unfolds in an entirely female world; men are richly portrayed, but are never seen onscreen. Making her feature debut, English creates a multi- generational tapestry that encompasses post-feminist baby boomers, post-menopausal women and pre-teen girls.

Fittingly, THE WOMEN boasts one of the most impressive rosters of female actors ever assembled in one film. Joining Ryan and Bening in the principal cast are Eva Mendes, Debra Messing, Jada Pinkett Smith, Candice Bergen, Bette Midler, Cloris Leachman, Carrie Fisher, and Debi Mazar. The supporting cast includes superb veterans Joanna Gleason and Lynn Whitfield as well as fresh young faces Tilly Scott Pedersen and India Ennenga.......

Kadhalil Vizhunthen Movie Online-Watch Kadhalil Vizhunthen

Kadhalil Vizhunthen Story

The director of the movie is P.V. Prasad who makes is debut. “Boys” Nakul plays the hero role. He is the younger brother of actress Devayani. Sunaina acts as a pair of Nakul. Actually she is a telugu actress. Hero Nakul reduded his weight from 90kg to 70kg for this movie.Music is done by Vijay Antony. He has been introduced as a singer in this movie for Nakka Mukka song. Cinematography by S.D. Vijay Milton and editing by V.T. Vijayan.

Kaadhalil Vizhunthen is a romantic love story with great action package in a college set. The biggest plus of the movie is going to be songs, dance and action sequences. All the songs are already rocking each and every street, especially Nakka Mukka song.
After a massive reach to public, the Nakka Mukka song has been reshooted to satisfy the expectation of audience. The movie and songs are going to be a another milestone in tamil film industry. Vijay Milton’s cinematography is mixed bag in this movie .Some scenes are excellently shot while some others which follow them are stictly ok .

Vijay Anthony stikes gold with this movie . All songs are already chartbusters . Apart from “Naka muka “, others like “Unakena naan ” & “Thozhiya en kadhaliya” are also mesmerising . He has done a good job in BGM as well .

Debutant director P.V.Prasad must be first congratulated for taking such a heavy subject first up . His touches are seen all over the second half .Infact the second half seem to be on totally different plane when compared to the ordinary first half . One thought that he must have portrayed first half love story more convincingly & strongly .Than it would have brought a even stronger impact in the second half.

Also he has made use of the story of a gorilla & it’s kid very cleverly On the whole the first half is superficial & half-backed while the second half is a stunner.......................

Kidnap Movie Online,Watch Kidnap Hindi Movie(2008)

Kidnap Movie Story

Kidnap review does not yet exist, but we are here to give you more information about the story in the movie. Imran intends to spread his "Lover-boy image that he earned for his debut film. He plays a negative role in the butt. What worries him, whether it is public, and his fans accept him is a villain.

Sanjay Gadhvi not count as much logic as appropriate. He shows a captive market, Minissha Lamba fashionably dressed in comfortable clothes so thin that they would be distracting and moody kidnapped again and again. And in the audience, you are completely empathize with the boy. Throughout his captivity, Minissha's character is firmly focused on his dresses, there are those cleavage-flaunting coats or hot pants with shimmering belly chains to bootable.

Imran Khan holds the film together with an increase of more than crappy script solely on the power of his performance.

Although he does not do anything the stars, there is something about him that catches your eye, as he has shown. As hot and cool as a cucumber, Imran walks through his role with intimidating ease. Minissha works well, but his style seems really strange that her character. Sanjay Dutt is OK as long as he does not do business. Can be found at the scene where he tells the kidnapper to go to hell, and his wife, Vidya Malvade, vents his anger has Dutt. She turns to him and says, "you have to react." He has said that "you are more than serviceable."

We are talking about the movie characters, Sanjay was impressive. Imran had his character well and placed in the role. He proves he is a typical "Khan", and it has a long way to go. Vidya was also in favor of. Minisha was a direct message to actresses who have discovered, and received a thank you for this, that he has no fewer and certainly joined the queue.

The film is strictly ok, apart from a few songs, such as My Jaaye, Hey Ya, Mausam. This action sequence is good, especially Imran jumping phenomenon.

The Government ban of Smoking in Public Places

Ban of Smoking

The long gestating new rules for the ban of smoking will be implemented starting today - smoking tobacco in public will be banned.

According to the The 'Prohibition of Smoking in Public Places Rules', consumption of tobacco in all government or private buildings will become a punishable offense. Sweating over what 'public places' means? Well the list is this - small cafes, restaurants, schools, colleges, pubs or discotheques, stadia, airports, hospitals, bus stands, cinema halls, railway stations, markets and shopping malls.

In you're caught smoking in the above places, you'd have to to shell out Rs 200. And that's just the first few days, because the fine would later be revised to Rs 1,000.
And the public places that allow employees to smoke within their building premises would have to cough up Rs 5,000 per employee caught smoking.

Smokers' only refuge would be the road or parks.

Also, under the new rules, cigarette and bidi packs will feature either a glossy photo of infected human lungs or an X-ray plate of the chest of a cancer-sticken man. Packets of chewing and smokeless tobacco products will flaunt a graphic image of a scorpion that depicts cancer.

Smoking on the road or the park will save others from the wrath of passive smoking. 250-300 million Indians consume some form of tobacco. And around 14.1% of school-going children have started to smoke. Smoking kills 900,000 Indians a year, a figure expected to rise to a million by 2010.

So if you're a smoker and you think Mr Ramadoss is merely blowing smoke, you can expect the Smokeys showing up in your face brandishing Rs 200 chalans as smoking guns

Raman Thediya Seethai Online Movie-Latest Tamil Movie

Raman Thediya Seethai Story

Raman Thediya Seethai is a romantic comedy with Cheran cast in the role of a young man keen on getting married but encounters one disappointment after another. Of course, it doesn’t help matters that he stutters and had a short stint in the mental hospital.

Cheran is as usual a stinker as an actor though he comes to life occasionally but Vimala Raman and Pasupathy shine.

As the blind disc jockey Nedumaran, Pasupathy is a delight to watch as he recounts his own love story to the depressed Venu (Cheran), whose life he saves from the path of a speeding car.

Vimala Raman, an Indian from down under, is another pleasant surprise in Raman Thedia Seethai. More than just a pretty face, Vimala Raman packs some acting skills too and should go places if Lady Luck is on her side.

Voila, a Tamil heroine who can act. What a relief to see someone like Vimala Raman after watching quadrupeds like Trisha and Nayantara who wouldn’t recognize acting if it hit them in the face.

We liked Nithin Sathya’s portrayal of a psychotic character in Sathum Podathaay and the young lad does a decent job in Raman Thediya Seethai as the reformed thief in love with college student Gayathri (Karthika).

Ramya Nambeesan and Karthika do a competent job.

While this movie has more than its share of humorous moments, it’s also afflicted with some typical Tamil-movie nonsense (thankfully not too much here). The scene of the blind DJ Nedumaran (Pasupathy) fighting four stocky thugs on the road and emerging victorious was plain nonsense.

The talented Malayalee actress Navya Nair is completely wasted in a brief role as a police inspector.

The music in Raman Thediya Seethai is not the stuff to send you into raptures but not completely without merit either. Our favorite songs were Ippavae Ippavae and Mazhai Nindra.

Raman Thediya Seethai doesn’t break any new ground and is surely no cause for celebration or uncorking the champagne bottle but it’s a whole lot better than some of the garbage to emerge out of the Kollywood sewers lately like Satyam or Kuruvi.
And for delivering a mildly entertaining Tamil movie, Raman Thediya Seethai’s director K.P. Jagannath deserves kudos.

Ru-Ba-Ru Story Review

The most unreliable thing in life is life itself. This, the protagonist of this sweet little concoction discovers when he wakes up one morning to find that his live-in girlfriend, perfect in manner and devotion, might have to die.

A simple premise based on the theory of déjà vu, "Ru-Ba-Ru" derives its slender strength from the conversational tone that the debutant director brings to the romantic comedy, a genre that remains largely over-used and under-sensitised in Hindi cinema, thanks to the florid dialogues, over-the-top performances and incessant flow of song-dance.

Here the exuberance of the melodramatic melee that crowds the love in our (e)motion pictures is kept at a believable and urbane decibel. The couple, Randeep Hooda and Shahana Goswami look like a well-matched if strife-torn couple. Their chemistry is certainly not strained.

What strains our credulity is the second half when after having seen the death of his love, the man tries to go into those areas of his insensitivity where his relationship erred and suffered.

The two halves of the film are designed to create a moral fable conveying the before-and-after effect of a domesticated apocalypse.

Randeep confers a casual colloquial sardonicism to the role of a man who has seen tomorrow and would rather enjoy today. Shahana, who gets to smile and giggle after frowning and complaining her way through "Rock On", provides Randeep with ample scope to refurbish and revise the rituals of romance as they go from dream to a nightmarish reality where we know death is the evitable finale.

Though the plot and its negotiation through a labyrinth of well-charted courtship games are interesting enough, the film finally crumbles under the weight of lightness that comes from portraying love as excessively fleeting, fugitive and fragile.

And to believe that the man who knows he'll lose his beloved at the end of the day would go around joking, dancing and playing the saxophone as the clock ticks away is stretching the frontiers of romance to the brink of parody.

Nonetheless the narration done in that wispy twinkle-eyed tone that suggests a deep bond between cinema and Elizabethan poetry does prod us gently into watching Randeep and Shahana portray a very contemporary couple bustling through a day of seduction and strife, eventually thrown into a situation that psychiatrists would enjoy analysing on the couch.

Borrowing generously from films like Peter Howitt's "Sliding Doors", "Ru-Ba-Ru" makes it a notch above mediocrity for its subtly superior performances and production design.

But the second half is too loose-limbed to qualify as compulsory deja vu. The nadir of storytelling occurs when Randeep and Shahana visit the former's estranged mom (Rati Agnihotri) and stepfather (Jayant Kriplani). In about 10 minutes of playing time here the director makes every father-son reconciliatory gesture prescribed in the book of social etiquette.

Still, the Thai locations and the generous display of stealth in the man-woman relationship redeem what would otherwise have been a film that never crosses the realm of sweet possibilities. While Randeep and Shahana hold up the lead with much casual realism, sturdy support comes from Jeneva Talwar as the heroine's best friend and Kulbhushan Kharbanda as a mysterious angel of death driving a taxi.

"Ru-Ba-Ru" has a delicious subtext to its romantic surface - don't leave the task of displaying emotions to a later time. You may never get there. "Ru-Ba-Ru" barely does. It just about makes it through the "Sliding Doors".

Watch Welcome to Sajjanpur Story

The seasoned, award winning and acclaimed director Shyam Benegal, who had all along been known for intense soul searching films, comes out with a simply superb mindful comedy which tells the story of a bunch of villagers, their hopes, fears, aspirations and anxieties.

We empathise with many of the characters for the simple reason that we come across such characters every day of our lives. Their stories are told from through a letter writer without any stylistic cinematic techno-gimmiks.

Instead of giving any synopsis of the film an introduction of the various characters is given. This film is in the episodic cinema genre, but all tracks are skillfully interwoven into an attractive plait.

The entire film unfolds in the village of Sajjanpur village. The players are Mahadev (Shreyas Talpade) a wannabe novelist but settling down to a professional letter-writer at the post office. His regular customers are a plotting politician (Yashpal Sharma), a superstitious mother (Ila Arun) eager to get her daughter (Divya Dutta) married, a eunuch(Ravi Jhankal) with political ambitions, a married woman (Amrita Rao) whose husband has not come to the village since last four years and a hospital compounder (Ravi Kishan) in love with a widow (Rajeshwari Sachdeva).

The film explores each character and its trials and travails. The letter writer sometimes takes liberties and does certain things to help his clients, which most of the time end up otherwise. ...........

He is only a kid…" is something that is heard ever too often. But when a kid displays the valour and wit that is no child's play and the presence of mind that belies his age, it certainly is no kidding matter.

Watch Poi Solla Porom Tamil Movie online (2008) with Quality

Poi Solla Porom Movie Review

New genres and new surprises with the recent releases and here comes another one. Saroja, Alibaba, the last week’s releases weren’t off A-rated star casts and yet made it bigger across the masses with the appealing storyline.

On the pars, Poi Solla Porom with an unique theme and pleasant deliverance is sure to provide entertainment and Elite groups.

Dibakar Banerjee’s Kosla Ka Kosla made in 2006 didn’t make it so bigger in box-office, for those sorts of flicks were just clichés. Remaking the film exactly, Vijay does modify it with comedy elements suiting to the tastes of Tamil audiences. Indeed, the emotional aspects too work well.

The film opens with Nedumudi Venu dreaming about his irony death and his family members are not paying any attention to the situations. The nightmare disturbs him a lot and immediately he wakes up in the early morning. The same day he gets along with his family members of his wife (Lakshmi), elder son Ooplinathan (Karthik Kumar), younger son (Omar) and his daughter (Justina) to plot he had purchased with his savings. Indeed, Nedumudi Venu is so curious to build his dream house, but it’s shocking for him to know that it has been acquired by a real estate bigwig baby (Nasser).

Nasser is so stubborn that he would return the land to Nedumudi if he agrees him to pay Rs.15Lakhs. Nothing helps the victimized family, not even the gundas and policemen for everyone is on Baby’s side. When Omar using the help of gundas breaks down the walls raised by Baby at their plot, Nedumudi is pushed behind the bars… When the entire hopes are dashed down, Karthik Kumar gets the aid of Bosky who was once a partner of Baby in forging fake land documents and got cheated by him.
Added to this Karthik’s girlfriend Piya, her father (Mouli) and their team are running a drama group. Now, takes the bigger twist of game that the entire group plays against Baby and win back their lost properties.

In simple, Poi Solla Porom dealing with middle-class issues is sure to attract the B and C set of audiences, but the execution is precisely taking Multiplexes group of audiences into fleet of delightedness. An intelligent move by Director Vijay and congrats to Jaideep Sahni, scriptwriter of original version Kosla Ka Kosla.

Nothing to blame on the star-casts for everyone have hit the bull’s eyes with their trenchant piece of performance. Nothing looks artificial: be it a father offering his sons a treat of hot drinks and mother preparing side dish (remember the father hasn’t sipped the alcohols even once before in his lifetime) or Nasser interacting with the site watchman Muthu Karuppan, they are awesome. Omar overbeats Karthik at many points with his performance and he is the exact replica of what each son would do in real life to get out of troublesome situation.

Mouli, Nasser and Nedumudi Venu: these versatile actors bring the entire spotlights under them. Piya hasn’t got much to perform, but with her cute and homely looks, she is sure to attract everyone.

What makes Kosla Ka Kosla and Poi Solla Porom differ from each other? Not the script or screenplay for they are same. But the comedy blended dialogues and sometimes emotional carries the entire film more rigid.

Songs aren’t so appealing for they go along with the story. Thanks to Vijay: you don’t have to get struck with unwanted romance sequence or dream songs. But, the cute pair Karthik and Piya presented with bit of romance sequences would have been a sense of attraction for youth groups, especially lovers. Background Score by Gopi Sundar blended with the cinematography of Aravind Krishna offers a grand visual treat. But it doesn’t look like Antony has edited the cuts and transitions......
