Uyirin Yedai 21 Ayiri is an underworld don story with the old message that one who takes the knife will die by the knife. The movie is all about a ruthless, paid killer who realizes the value of the human soul in his death bed.

The first half is about don Acha, his favorite goon Eeswar (Aegan) & the betrayal of the don's son Seena. The narrative style of the director is neat and the interesting screenplay engages the audience with the notable scenes being the one in which the doctor realizes the influence of the don, and how Aegan is trapped by his own team mates. However, the blood-filled murders are clumsy and irritating. There are also no entertaining moments in the first half........
